The Proof is in the Pudding...
At ATWAS we are proud to be warm, welcoming, professionals working in the industry but with lots of teaching and nurturing experience.
Many teachers claim West End credits as their selling point but that doesn't necessarily mean they will be able to translate that knowledge and experience to others, to help them learn and have rewarding careers. Here at ATWAS we have an equal passion and talent for performing and teaching.
Sometimes without credits or certificates it is hard to trust that someone will be able to help you. We hope the testimonials below will help give you a sense, as to whether we are the right people for you.

"Charlotte's lessons and ATWAS have been invaluable to me. She has helped me improve both technically and also in performance confidence. ATWAS has helped preparing both songs and monologues to successfully gain places at drama schools and National Youth Theatre companies. Charlotte is fantastic at recommending Rep songs and also encourages artistic freedom in all work, for example the importance of individual acting through song choices. The structure of our lessons depend on how I am feeling and what I feel I need to work on, ranging from technical singing exercises to improve areas of the voice, to singing for fun. I recommend ATWAS highly."
Sarah studies at Bird College ( Conservatoire of Dance and Musical Theatre) and has for many years successfully auditioned to perform with The National Youth Music Theatre, BYMT and Spirit YPC.
"I absolutely loved my lessons with Charlotte! Not only was she an amazing teacher but also a friend. She helped me build my confidence not only in my singing abilities but also in myself. Charlotte went above and beyond in lessons through her useful insights into what makes a good singer and performer. Meditation was a technique we used to help my breathing but also to calm nerves. "
"I started my lessons with ATWAS in 2018 to further my singing technique and skills. Charlotte is the first singing teacher I’ve had and I’ve absolutely loved my time with her and I’m still with her to this day! During my time with Charlotte I found I improved so much not just with my voice but with my confidence which resulted in me having solos and main parts in my college shows which I never thought I would have the confidence to do! Also with ATWAS's help to pick the right solos for me and my voice I started the audition process for drama schools and managed to get into 3. I couldn’t have done any of this without Charlottes help and I’ll be forever grateful! "
Hannah studies at PPA and successfully gained places at Chichester Conservatoire and Sharpe Academy.
"I look forward to every single lesson I have with Charlotte. I walk in excited knowing that I am going to leave after an hour having achieved something, big or small, which instantly lifts my mood.
Charlotte puts me at ease in lessons and has helped me develop all areas of my voice including enhancing my chest voice with different tones and textures as well as helping me discover and control an upper register I didn’t know I had or know how to use.
As well as singing, ATWAS's advice on rep material, auditions and the industry in general are faultless. After having different singing lesson experiences with various teachers over the span of ten years, in approximately the last two years of lessons with Charlotte, I have seen such a drastic improvement in my confidence, vocal ability and overall knowledge of my voice and how the voice can be used to make a career."

"I absolutely enjoyed every class and was sad to have to end them to go off to college! Charlotte is not only a supportive teacher and talented performer, she is also warm and friendly. Even in my very first class she managed to make me feel relaxed, which helped alot !"
